Caroline Wilson research paper

There will come a time in most students' careers when they are assigned a research paper. Such an assignment often creates a great deal of unneeded anxiety in the student, which may result in procrastination and a feeling of confusion and inadequacy. This anxiety frequently stems from the fact that many students are unfamiliar and inexperienced with this genre of writing. Never fear—inexperience and unfamiliarity are situations you can… Continue

Lisa W McComb Purple Bra Day

Hi All What a FUN day!! First time doing this fundraiser and thoroughly enjoyed it. Organized a morning tea at a local cafe who kindly donated cupcakes with purple bras on them for my guests. Our school had a 'Wine Drive' fundraiser that night, so went along wearing my bra, only to find others in my school community wearing them too!! So many parents of our school community came up to me and thanked me for giving them an insight of what the BCFWA does for patients and families. It has given the… Continue

Michele Alexander Help with Seroma

Hi there Its been 10 days since I had my surgery - local wide excision and removal of all lymph's. I had the drain removed after a couple of days because it had blocked and this released 40ml of fluid within the immediate couple of hours following but nothing since. My breast seems to have filled up again and my armpit is very sore - I keep being told this is normal! Can anyone advise - will my body regulate this fluid naturally over the coming days or should I consider further drainage? What ha… Continue

Baba Dear Hearts

Although I live in the United States Breast Cancer Awareness is something very dear to my heart. You all know stories like that. Her mother also suffered the same horrible disease and results. Here in America, we have the Susan G. Komen foundation for Breast Cancer which sponsors several walks around the country for b… Continue

I have undergone physio on my arm, finished 6 cycles of chemotherapy (Yaaahhh!!) and now on my last 3 treatments of radiation. I have started hormonal treatment (Tamoxifen). So far, all ok.
