Since 2007 I had my son (1st & only child right now), found my breast cancer, went through surgeries, chemo, ect... I had no idea that Tamoxifen was a choice. I figured that after chemo that I had to take it.
After about 2 1/2 years of taking it I had enough! I told my doctor that I was finished with it. To my surprise he didn't flinch or debate it. He said that what I've taken of it so far isn't that much different from the 5 yr mark. I was delighted! He said that… Continue

But it took a lot of time of mine to find the exact material for writing my college coursework.

There will come a time in most students' careers when they are assigned a research paper
. Such an assignment often creates a great deal of unneeded anxiety in the student, which may result in procrastination and a feeling of confusion and inadequacy. This anxiety frequently stems from the fact that many students are unfamiliar and inexperienced with this genre of writing. Never fear—inexperience and unfamiliarity are situations you can… Continue

What a FUN day!! First time doing this fundraiser and thoroughly enjoyed it. Organized a morning tea at a local cafe who kindly donated cupcakes with purple bras on them for my guests.
Our school had a 'Wine Drive' fundraiser that night, so went along wearing my bra, only to find others in my school community wearing them too!!
So many parents of our school community came up to me and thanked me for giving them an insight of what the BCFWA does for patients and… Continue

Its been 10 days since I had my surgery - local wide excision and removal of all lymph's. I had the drain removed after a couple of days because it had blocked and this released 40ml of fluid within the immediate couple of hours following but nothing since.
My breast seems to have filled up again and my armpit is very sore - I keep being told this is normal!
Can anyone advise - will my body regulate this fluid naturally over the coming days or should I consider further… Continue
