The BOXX rocks

What an amazing weekend was had by all at the annual BOXX scrapping retreat in Augusta, Western Australia! Was so proud to see other gals there with their purple boots and also to hear the story of so many more wonderful women out there across Oz wearing their purple boots proudly and spreading the word!

I am always taken aback by the wonderful spirit of women coming together and the amazing ability for people from all over the country to be thrown into a room and come out 3 days later as life… Continue

This week has been a particurly challenging week for Australians - and I can't possibly imagine the challenges being faced by the thousands of people affected by the bushfires.

Hi Ness,
Thanks for the Welcome. As I only wear purple (and have done so for nearly the last 9 years) I have many pairs of purple shoes and several pairs of purple boots, however I do not (as yet) have the ones from the website. Am hoping to add them to my collection very soon. Also have purple hair, purple house, etc. Is not an obsession, is a passion.

thanks for the nice message ness. nice to meet you and i hope i can help around. i am wondering if i can put up web sites that may interest people - sell neways and they are all natural products/chemical free that may help cancer sufferers (not sure what the bc calls sufferers) find something that is helpful to them in hair, skin, house, vitamin products and other things. got some web sites that talk about the vitamins and how they help treat childhood illnesses such as adhd, odd and migraines. the other thing, i am wondering two things, can something be done to the computer site so that when you look at the members there is a add friend icon there instead of having to go through the persons page to find out about them and the bcwa shop items need better product descriptions on them when you look at the products - like the drink bottle - how much does it hold, is it plastic or metal. just some things i have noticed from being on connect2mums.com.au that has a similar site and what i noticed when i was ordering stuff this morning.

Thanks for the welcome Ness. just got home from a conference at Royal Pines Golf Club ... and as I live in Main Beach I am listening to the bloody car race ,,, sorry if you like cars screaming around, but I hate it. Oh well it will be over in a couple of hours ... and then eventually all the barracades etc will be removed and life will be more picturesque as it should be. Will get a pic up soon.... Cheers

Hi Ness, long time no see. Have been busy with school life as we are planning a big school fete for november. I have managed to do a few fundraisers such as the purple bra day, daffidol day & I am helping with pink ribbon tomorrow.
I have been approached by a relative of a friend who has organized a movie night, gold class to view 'Twighlight' & 'New Moon' All proceeds are going to BCFWA & I have been invited as a guest speaker. Is it ok for me to advertise on PPB website? Thanks Ness. Look forward to hearing from you....

Hi Ness, Yes, they are the Purple Boots. I volunteer as a watchleader/Leading hand on Square rigg sailing ships in my spare time and we often wear workboots so the Purple also means they won't get muddled with others. My normal job is an office job so they've also been paired with a suit much to my collegues surprise.
