Purple Bra Day
Hi All
What a FUN day!! First time doing this fundraiser and thoroughly enjoyed it. Organized a morning tea at a local cafe who kindly donated cupcakes with purple bras on them for my guests.

My Journey - Lisa McComb
Well......My journey started end of September 2008, when I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 34 years. I had a mastectomy to the left breast and 10 lymphnodes removed. The pathology report indicated my tumor was 17cm large, but the abnormalities in my lymphnodes were clear.
I have undergone physio on my arm, finished 6 cycles of chemotherapy (Yaaahhh!!) and now on my last 3 treatments of radiation. I have started hormonal treatment (Tamoxifen). So far, all ok. I knew absolutely NOTH… Continue

- thanks lisa for accepting my request. 44, married (having some issues with that), touch wood cancer free - had a scare and thought there could be cancer of the cervix/uterus but clear, not working as lost my job due to being ill health retired from the qld public service, hoping to go back to uni next year to do a masters.

- Hello Lisa, It's wonderfull to hear your story, You'll soon be finished your radiation treatment and on your home stretch.hormone treatment is the easy part. I was diagnosed in April of 2008, with breast cancer. I have under gone 12 cycles of chemotherapy and seven weeks of radiation treatment. I had 14 lymphnodes removed with several positive. I did manage to shrink the largest part of my tumor to allow me to save my breast and have hook wire surgery. I'm currently doing five years of hormone threapy. Thus remaining in menopause. I have three lovely children and a supportive man by myside. Love to catch up and chat.
