Land Surveys jump into Karratha boots and all

Following years of working closely with clients in the Pilbara, Western Australia, Land Surveys officially open their permanent home in the Karratha town centre on Thursday 13th August in purple boot style!

The Land Surveys Karratha and Perth teams are the latest recruits to join the Brigade that is transforming worksites across rural parts of Oz.

“It is with thanks to companies like Land Surveys converting their black work boots for purple ones that we have raised over $370,000 for breast cancer education and support,” states Vanessa Bradshaw, Project Coordinator, BCFWA.

Whilst the Brigade is still going strong and seeking ongoing support from the community, its long-term legacy was recently secured through an alliance with Edith Cowan University and federal funding for a national, three year online breast cancer support project. This project aims to provide unique online, professional support services and make an enormous difference to people affected by breast cancer in remote and regional WA.

“When we found out about the Brigade and the great support and education programs they are running we had to get on board,” states Peter Rullo, MD Land Surveys. “Our team are keen to help out where we can and offer support into the communities we work in across the state”.

Land Surveys are also supporting BCFWA through other fund raising efforts of two key staff, Tim Fuller and Wayne Hourquebie, who will be trekking to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in September 2009 as part of the Conquerors team raising $100,000 for breast cancer support services across Western Australia.
