How I got involved with Purple Boots
Where do I start? One conversation with Ros Worthington was enough to get me started! being lucky enough to work at Steel Blue when the idea surfaced and to be able to run with such an amazing sponsorship was every marketing manager's dream!
Then there was the more emotional side when my mother-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer. WOW - that really hit it home for me that the project was so important and could really make a difference...
I am so passionate about the boots that I continue to work on the project, although in a new fashion as I work part-time with BCFWA to project manage the education initiatives resulting from the sponsorship. I just love the team, I love the boots and I am so excited to be working on this great new website with a fantastic crew!
And of course you will often see me out and about with a pile of boots and education flyers in my car spreading the word!
